Tropical rains cleanse Mexico’s countryside each year during the summer and early fall. Unfortunately this means any loose trash gets carried out towards the ocean. Local volunteers from the Playa Las Tortugas community rally every year to walk the beach and clean it up.

A big thanks goes out to the Platanitos Sea Turtle Camp for help with removal of our bags, and also to Linda for organizing this year’s clean-up.

And of course…thanks to everybody who helped out. Your great work keeps our pristine beach as beautiful as ever!
